FAST-PACED AND STRATEGIC GAMEPLAY
Unlike typical 2048 games, Drop & Merge 2048 increases the speed with a mechanism of continuously falling blocks:
- Lane arrangement: The playing field is divided into five fixed lanes. You have to quickly move the falling numbered block into the most appropriate lane before it hits the bottom.
- Merging and Chain Reactions: When two blocks of the same value collide, they merge into a larger block. The key to achieving a high score is calculating the position where a block lands to trigger a series of consecutive merges (chain reactions).
How to Use the Controls
- [←]/[→]: Move the number block to adjacent lanes.
- [↓]: Accelerates the number block, causing it to fall faster.
- Spacebar: Instantly drops the block of numbers straight down.
- Mouse: Click and drag to select the drop lane for the block.
